The First Great Show of the New Year – The Taylor Scott Band on Friday Night *** The Dins & Tonic – Harvards A Capela Group on Saturday Night

Live Music Fans,

We had a fantastic 2019 full of great live music in the shop and Sopris Park.  Once again, we made live music happen every week in the little old byob shop and we had some wonderful family-friendly free concerts in the park and Town Plaza during the summer.  Now, it’s time to start off the new year on a sweet note.  Friday Night will feature one of Colorado’s best live bands coming over the divide from Denver.  Then on Saturday night we get to hear 12 well-dressed (no Levi’s) young singers from Harvard bringing a completely new act for the room.  I’m always up for something new for the little room; especially if it involves live music.  Check out the entertainment on their website videos and know it will sound even better when the music is live.  Come on out!

See you at the shows!

FRIDAY NIGHT – JANUARY 10TH – THE TAYLOR SCOTT BAND – 8:30PM – www.taylorscottmusic.com

“TAYLOR SCOTT BAND

The Taylor Scott Band transcends musical genres by joyously embracing a raft of them. Funk, Soul, Rock and R&B all come together in this Denver-based band’s repertoire, and never more so than on his new album release, All We Have produced by Steve Berlin (Los Lobos).”

Onstage, the road-tested Taylor Scott Band simply  kills it night after night. Good luck trying to sit down or stay still.  In addition to touring and recording with his own band, Scott has  recorded and toured the US, Canada and Europe with blues legend Otis Taylor and in 2015 played alongside the likes of Warren Haynes (Allman Brothers, Gov’t Mule) on Otis Taylor’s critically acclaimed release, “Hey Joe Opus: Red Meat.”

JANUARY 11TH – THE DINS & TONIC – 8:30PM – www.thedins.com

“The Harvard Din & Tonics are Harvard University’s signature jazz a cappella group, known for their rich tradition of musical and performance excellence. Their repertoire centers around American jazz standards, but also frequently includes pop, disco, and folk music. These world-touring Harvard students — who perform in white tie and tails, garnished with lime green socks — have an enviable reputation for their impeccable musicality, snappy choreography, and hilarious antics.”
