*** Streamin’ Steve’s 53rd Live Streaming Show ***

Live Music Fans,

It’s now official, I have now made it through my 41st Winter in this neck of the woods and I’m looking forward to the long days of Spring and Summer.  And hoping we can get back to hosting our fantastic audiences in the music room again.  It would also be sweet if we could make another Second Sunday series in Sopris Park happen with more excellent free live music for you in the summer.  I’m praying to my music gods that this will happen.  Got to have hope, right?

We have booked another talented music act this week made up by more talented local musicians.  Over the last year, I have come to really appreciate the vibrant local music scene that we have.  It has kept our Friday Night Streak alive in great fashion.  And, we were very fortunate to have a very successful fundraiser last year to buy some sweet HD cameras and equipment to make some very high quality live streams.  Without it, it would have been me by myself playing some live music every Friday Night.  That would have been so sad.  Thanks again to GrassrootsTV, Ralph and all the volunteers who keep the Streak alive.  Enjoy!

FRIDAY NIGHT – MARCH 26TH – WILD FLIGHT – 7:30PM – www.grassrootstv.org  www.wildflightmusic.com

“Wild Flight, based in Western Colorado, was formed in 2019 by members Emily Jurick and Eric Gross. The group performs both as a duo and, more recently, with a full band. Wild Flight released its first record in 2020, the self-titled âWild Flightâ features five original songs composed by Eric and Emily; with more compositions in the works. Together they are creating warm vocal harmonies in both traditional and contemporary arrangements.”

â”Eric Gross is a singer, songwriter and piano player who attended the Berklee College of Music. He spent the early part of his career in Boston and Nashville recording and touring with various artists. Eric loves to play and sing blues, jazz, country, and rock in a powerful, soulful style.”

â”Emily Jurick writes and sings songs of deep emotion that explore themes of love and loss, and joy and pain. Her sensual voice, with roots in blues and country draws on her colorful life experiences to tell stories in a creative and fresh style.”

“Hello friends, family, colleagues, mentors, musicians…. people I love….Eric and I wrote and recorded 5 songs while in captivity this summer and I had my first recording studio experience in late October, which was wonderful which inspired us to write even more songs for our next album.    I hope you like what we did 🙂 The album (EP) will be on all the streaming platforms Dec. 14th..”

Both Emily and Eric have played great live music for us in the past and I look forward to hearing their new original songs this week.  Tune in to GrassrootsTV and enjoy Streamin’ Steve’s for another Friday night in the old shop of music.

Stay positive and continue to test negative.  That’s my plan.

Musically Yours,

Steve, Mary Margaret and Shannon

Join the live stream on www.grassrootstv.org and remember you can donate some support to the musicians to help keep them alive during these challenging times.  It’s all we have right now and it’s way better than nothing.  Don’t you think?  Hope so. We remain patiently waiting for it to feel safe for hosting audiences like for over 20 years before.  Until then, we will keep the streams coming thanks to your support and well wishes.  Please keep them coming our way.  Continued thanks to our many sponsors listed partially below who have made the streams happen in this time living with Covid-19.  Be well!
